Memories of Angela Smith

I know she prays for us

Piper

If I could sum up Angela in one word it would be "angel." There was nothing beneath her, and her giving put me to shame. It was a selfless giving too—sometimes I felt embarrassed because I could never return to her the same love and affection she gave to me and others. But I saw that it didn't matter, she just wanted to give.

One of my favorite poems by Hugh Robert Orr says: “They are not dead who live in hearts they leave behind.”

Angela was, and is, very much alive in my mind. I'll try to remember her and her sample of love in my life's course and actions. Of course, I miss her not being around, but as I know that the love she had was supernatural—it could only have come from that Wonderful Place where she now resides. And so, I'm happy for her, and I know she prays for us.
