I've known Angela for more than 27 years—and I say "known" rather than "knew" because she isn't really gone. She's just on the other side of the veil that separates the world of the spirit from this one, and she's happier and freer than ever before.
Angela and I were often in the same Family Home during many of these 27 years, and she was one of the most cheerful, enthusiastic, fun-loving, dedicated, determined, hard-working people I knew. She had a sunny disposition, terrific laugh (I can still hear it echoing in my ears), and a zest for life. She put her whole heart into whatever she did, whether it was witnessing, secretarial work, shopping, learning a language, or cheering up other people. She loved other people in particular—loved to be around them, loved to talk, loved to have fun together, and had faith for people to make it, no matter what their problems were or what they were going through.
She took the name "Joy" for a while, and I always thought that was very appropriate for her. She not only had the joy of the Lord that shone all around her and through her, but she loved Jesus and put Him first, loved others and put them next, and put herself last, even when it was difficult for her.
I'll miss her for now, but I'm so happy she's free and happy in Heaven, and that laugh of hers is probably keeping many an inhabitant of Heaven in stitches!
